New Dactylylorhiza 2026

New Dact 24-6-26

I currently have three distinct Dactylorhiza species in a border at the front of the house however this Summer I discovered growing in amongst the others, a new plant which I can only assume is a hybrid.   The flowers are lighter in colour being much more pink and less purple than the others plus it is more multi-stemmed and the flower spikes are shorter.  So perhaps I should give it a name, register it, make my fortune selling it and retire to the Bahamas.   After the heat of this Summer here in Scotland I am not sure I would like to live anywhere where the temperature is regularly above 25 celsius.   So, probably staying put!
