So here we are in July already and finally the weather has taken a turn for the better. So far this Summer I think we have had one week of dry weather between April and early July. Some plants haven't enjoyed the cold blustery weather, especially the bedding plants which must be at least two, maybe three weeks behind. New to us this year is Scizanthus as a bedding plant which I think is quite lovely - looks like a small orchid, however it is only a seed sown annual. Delphinium Red Lark is actually further out than the picture in my GIF and looks stunning. I think we need more!
Farfugium which is not supposed to be terribly hardy has actually come through the Winter in several borders - commonly called the leopard plant due to its creamy-white spots.
The Aeoniums in the planter I like although the central one is being slightly swamped by the darker coloured ones. The central one is called Pink Witch and was bought at Chelsea Flower Show this year.
Hopefully you are all enjoying your garden and it hasn't been too dry or too wet for your plants. We gardeners never seem to be happy when it comes to the weather.
