Araesima and my Aeonium pot

Aeonium and arissima

Only two images this week both of which I think are quite unusual. One is of a planter I planted up a few weeks ago in the greenhouse with two varieties of Aeonium and Callibrachoa in mixed colours.   Looking fantastic and quite unusual.   Will definitely try and save the Aeoniums and try again next year.    The other image is of a plant I bought several years ago Araesima candidissium which I grew in the greenhouse last year and only got large fleshy leaves.   Planted it out at the end of Summer in my border with good drainage and hey presto! flowers this year.   Love the shape!   As I have said before, gardening is all about being experimental - taking risks - some of which work and others fail.   A bit like life in general then.   Hope you are enjoying my blogs!   Let me know.
