The above images show pictures of my 10 x 8ft aluminium greenhouse.

The first image is a general view showing some larger plants being overwintered at the back of the greenhouse including a Cordyline and our Fascicularia bought at Logan Botanic Gardens last year.   The Cordyline should survive our milder climate on the West coast of Scotland however, our heavy cold wet clay soil seems to kill them off every year.    The Fascicularia is not hardy in any way so is being overwintered in the greenhouse which has bubble insulation and a 2kw electric heater to keep it frost free.

The next image shows a slightly warmer area which has been double insulated with bubble insulation and it tends to sit at a minimum temp. of about 8 centigrade with the help of three heat lamps.   At the left of the pic at the back of the shelf is a heated propagating base which is great for germinating seeds and rooting cuttings.    Quite a few of these rooted cuttings are sitting on the floor of the greenhouse at the left hand site in the first pic, ready to be potted on in Spring or if large enough planted out once the frost has passed.

The third image shows the range of temperatures in the warmer section - so from a minimum of 8.7 on frosty nights to 32.1 centigrade on one of the rare warm sunny days in February.

It's not particularly tidy as a greenhouse however every year it does what is required of it.
