August colour in the garden

Early Aug 2026

So here we are in August and, we have finally had 2 weeks of sunshine with warm weather, and the garden is starting to sparkle.   We have now liquid fed all of the borders twice with high potash professional feed using our semi-professional hose dilutor ( not the hose end type as it's way too small for our garden).   These are some of our bedding plants many of which have been grown from seed or as with the Dahlias Argryanthemums Gazanias and Begonias overwintered in our garage or greenhouse and potted up in Spring then planted out once the frost has passed.

Thanks to those of you who have watched some of my videos on YouTube and commented on them positively - search for Dougthegardener - not dougthegardenerwanaka as he is from New Zealand and has a business maintaining gardens.

Thanks for visiting.   Keep enjoying your garden no matter where you are or its size.
