We struggle to grow Snowdrops with our heavy clay soil - they prefer lighter soil with lots of organic matter, as in woodlands - however with a bit of effort we are finally managing to establish a few clumps dotted around the garden. Worth the effort as they just put a smile on your face at this time of year, making you think that Spring is hopefully just round the corner
