This is Fascicularia bicolor which we now have growing in a pot on our rear patio. Bought from Logan Botanic Garden situated in South West Scotland a few months ago we have been admiring similar specimens growing on the hillside above the walled garden for some years and decided to try it for ourselves. It grows well at Logan but the climate in South West Scotland is milder than even that in our garden which has some warming from the Gulf Stream. We will grow it in a pot, split it and maybe take a chance planting a young plant out next year in a well drained spot. We will overwinter the parent plant in our greenhouse and keep it in its pot next Summer. Time will tell!!!
