Drummond Castle Gardens, Muthill, by Crieff PH7 4HN. A formal Italian -style parterre garden which when viewed from the terrace is in the shape of a St Andrews cross. Castle not open to the public whilst gardens are open May to end of October. No coffee shop however "Little Red" within the inner courtyard of the castle provides teas coffees, baking etc to visitors.

Glasgow Botanic Gardens, 730 Great Western Road, Glasgow, G12 0UE This garden is situated in the heart of Glasgow. Not that large, but nice walks. The Kibble Glasshouses are the star attraction with a great selection of unusual and exotic plants including Cacti, Orchids, Pitcher Plants and so much more.

The Japanese Gardens at Cowden, FK14 7PL were originally developed by Ella Christie who was inspired to create a garden in Scotland in the Japanese style after visiting the Orient. She employed a female garden designer - Taki Handa to design the gardens and had them built on a seven acre site in the grounds of Cowden Castle, her ancestral home.
